COMMUNITY
EVENTS
4,470 individuals enjoyed community outings with the entire family, free of charge and in a judgement free zone. These recreational events include visits to the National Aquarium, the MD Science Center, a ballgame at Ripken Stadium, and sailing downtown with the Downtown Sailing Center.
FIRST RESPONDER TRAINING
Safety events and training give individuals with developmental disabilities a chance to interact with first responders outside of real emergencies to build trust and understanding. Last year our training team trained over 4,200 parents, law enforcement, officers, teachers, healthcare providers and more.
SWIM SAFETY
We want swimming to be a fun experience. Our swim safety program offered family swim events and scholarships for lessons to promote awareness of the increased risks of drowning among individuals with autism.
TRAFFIC STOP SAFETY
PFA trained individuals in the community on “what to do during a traffic stop.” Our traffic stop program is beneficial for both individuals with developmental disabilities and officers. We are grateful for the officers and attendees that joined us for this program.
FUNDRAISING
ACROSS MARYLAND
Pathfinders for Autism hosted fundraising events throughout the state to bring awareness to families, raise funds for our mission, and cultivate new donors to support our work. Our supporters were able to enjoy events that included wine tasting, whiskey tasting, golfing, pickleball, crossfit, paintball, farm to table dinners, 5K events and much more. Every dollar raised helped us continue our programs FREE of charge to the autism community throughout Maryland.
